Magnum named in JOC Top 25 LTL Carrier List

FARGO, ND – Magnum has been named the No. 24 Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) Carrier in the United States by The Journal of Commerce (JOC), along with being named the Fastest Growing U.S. LTL Carrier in 2021.

According to the Special Report, “A new Golden Age” by William B. Cassidy, “And unlike in previous years, the fastest-growing carriers in 2021 were not necessarily the largest. Fargo, N.D.-based Magnum LTL, for example, increased its revenue 59.5 percent, thanks in part to its acquisition of BC Freightways (formerly Brown Transfer) in March 2021. That growth outpaced FedEx Freight (20.8 percent) and Old Dominion Freight Line (30.7 percent), the two largest US LTL trucking companies in 2021.”

2021 marks the first year that Magnum’s LTL division has been named to the JOC Top 25 U.S. LTL Carriers list. Category winners were selected by each companies year-over-year percent change from 2020 to 2021.

“We are honored with this recognition by The Journal of Commerce. Magnum LTL is one part of the Magnum family offering an array of supply chain support for our clients. We’re excited for the opportunities and challenges this brings to our team,” said LTL President, James Johannesson. “I am very proud to work with the great people at Magnum and am extremely appreciative of our customers and vendors. Magnum would not be where we are without them.”
