DIVER TRAINEE PROGRAM 

 – Drivers with less than 12 months of recent experience or no driving experience but have completed at least 160 hours of CDL school within the past 3 months are considered Trainees.

– Every Trainee must attend 3 ½ days of orientation which pays $290 when completed.

– Trainees start at $85 per day while with a trainer for up to 4 weeks. During training, the trainee does 90% of the driving and planning, while the trainer is there to advise and observe. Team driving is not allowed. Trainer and trainee maintain the same 14hr clock.

– Over the course of 1 year, drivers that started as trainees get a pay raise every 2-3 months until they reach 49cpm on their 1-year anniversary of being a solo driver. Drivers receive a 1cpm raise every year on their anniversary up to 51cpm. Once a trainee gets their own truck, they qualify for the monthly bonus of up to 9cpm. The bonus may change with or without notice.

BENEFITS

Once a trainee completes the program, they get their own truck and start at:

[ 38 cpm ]  Trainee with up to 6-month experience and has no hazmat endorsement

[ 40 cpm ]  Trainee with up to 6-month experience and has hazmat endorsement

[ 42 cpm ] Trainee with 6-11 months experience with or without hazmat endorsement

Driver Incentive Program

• Incentives are paid on all miles for the month in review
• This program offers up to $.09 incentive on paid mile

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 22 yrs old on the date of hire
  • Must not have any license suspended in the past 12 months
  • Must not have any DUI or DWI convictions, positive drug screens, drug/alcohol screen refusals, or any other drug/alcohol events (including felonies or convictions) in the past (5) years and no more than (2) in a lifetime
  • No crashes in the past 12 months, both commercial and personal. No more than (1) in the last 36 months
  • No serious moving violations in the past 12 months, both commercial and personal. No more than (3) in past 36 months (Serious violations include but are not limited to: speeding over 15 miles over the limit, speeding in a construction zone, reckless driving, following too closely, texting or on a cell phone while driving, HOS violations will be considered on a case-by-case basis)
  • Must have a current DOT physical and must be self-certified with licensed state
  • Must meet the physical demands set forth in the written Job Description and be able to drive at night
  • Must have a stable verifiable work history and provide an address, phone numbers, and dates of employment for the last 10 years (month to month)
  • Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to provide information in English to supervisors, co-workers, and customers by telephone, in written form, by email, and in-person
