Faces of Magnum:
When he’s not teaching his son the ropes of the outdoors, Manager of Warehouse Operations Joe Lusty streamlines Magnum warehouses!
Tell me a bit about yourself, Joe!
For starters, I live in the great city of West Fargo, North Dakota with my 14-year-old son Corbin. Corbin is a great young fellow, and we enjoy learning many things together – from him teaching me about how 8th Grader’s do things, to me teaching him how to ride or drive anything with a motor! Most recently, we have been honing in on his driving skills, as he now has his permit!
Some hobbies I enjoy are deer hunting and guiding my son in his youth hunts the last several years – it allows me more time out in the field! Corbin was only three years old when he first sat in the bow stand with me. Also, I really enjoy fishing as well, but it’s hard to go as much as you would like!
What is your current job title?
I am the Manager of Warehouse Operations for Magnum!
How long have you worked at Magnum?
I joined Magnum as an Owner-Operator in the 90’s, and then transitioned into the warehouse where I’ve been ever since. I’ve been an employee for 25 years now, and it has held a great family feeling since day one!
What is your favorite part about working at Magnum?
I know I said this earlier, but you really feel like you’re part of a family here. That is my favorite part of working at Magnum!
What advice would you give to someone just starting out at Magnum?
Research the benefits and opportunities that come along with working for Magnum, and enroll in our 401(K) program on DAY ONE! Sometimes, there are parts of orientation that don’t soak in for new employees and it’s important information!
What’s something that might surprise me to know about you?
I studied in the Aviation field, and hold an A&P (Airframe and Powerplant) License to repair and maintain aircraft!
